The Church Street Breakup Cookie

Baked fresh daily using this recipe originally created by Jacques Torres and published in The New York Times, The Breakup Cookie has been around as long as Church Street Coffee & Books. This delicious, chocolatey, buttery, cookie with the PERFECT amount of salt and PERFECT texture is a Birmingham icon, woven into the story and soul of our shop. Our Breakup Cookie has been dubbed “The Best Cookie in Alabama” by Insider.com using a very scientific and complex equation.

We bake plenty of Church Street Breakup Cookies every day, but make sure you call ahead if you need more than a few!
